ABOUT DR. SCHERER

Dr. Dean J. Scherer is a tenured professor, chiropractic physician, and modern digital composer whose life’s work is devoted to transforming knowledge into meaningful human impact.

For more than three decades, he has served in higher education, and for over twenty years at Oklahoma State University–Oklahoma City as a tenured professor of human anatomy and physiology. In this role, he has guided generations of students — particularly those entering the healthcare professions — through a method that makes complex science clear, practical, and life-changing. His classroom is known for its rigor, encouragement, and the integration of real clinical understanding with foundational physiological principles. His academic career is marked by a commitment to teaching innovation, student success, and the integration of clinical relevance into the study of human physiology.

In parallel with his academic career, Dr. Scherer has spent decades in clinical practice as a chiropractic physician, applying physiological science to restore function, reduce pain, and help individuals reclaim their quality of life. This dual perspective as educator and clinician forms the foundation of his integrated approach to human performance, learning, and healing.

Alongside his work in science and healthcare, he is a modern digital composer and producer whose original music translates personal journeys into sound.
